Effective date: October 23, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Rosemount Business Collective (“RBC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) website, event registration, RBC accounts, member profiles, the member Directory, volunteer and speaker coordination, and related online services. By using these services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Eligibility and authority
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you use the services on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to act for that organization for the information and actions you submit.
Requesting a connection to an organization, listing an organization on your profile, or suggesting shared organization information does not by itself establish that authority. RBC may require staff review or additional verification.
RBC accounts and Membership
You may be able to register for an event as a guest or create an RBC account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it reasonably current.
You are responsible for protecting your sign-in credentials and for activity performed through your account. Notify RBC promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without permission. Do not share another person’s sign-in credentials or attempt to access another person’s information.
You may complete an optional RBC profile and use saved information to make future registrations faster. You are responsible for keeping information you control reasonably accurate. Completing a profile, appearing in the member Directory, or requesting an organization connection does not create a paid Membership, Member benefits, organization authority, payment status, voting rights, or staff access.
RBC may use verified email information to evaluate whether an account belongs with an existing RBC Person record and may link the account when the match can be made safely. If a safe match cannot be made, the account may remain unlinked while RBC uses an authorized support or administrative process to verify the request. RBC does not promise an online claim-review workflow. You agree not to seek or accept access to another person’s record and to promptly report an incorrect link.
An RBC account is not the same as an RBC Membership. Creating an account, signing in, registering for an event, or appearing in an RBC record does not by itself establish paid Membership, Member benefits, payment status, voting rights, or staff authority.
Member Directory and community information
The member Directory is for legitimate RBC community and business-networking purposes. It is not public. It is available to signed-in participants whose verified account is linked to an Active, Directory-visible RBC Person record, regardless of paid Membership. Access is reciprocal: only participants whose own eligible profile is visible may browse other visible profiles. Event guests without an eligible linked Active profile, hidden participants, and signed-out visitors cannot browse the Directory. Authorized RBC staff may access it for administration.
Directory information may be used for reasonable individual business and community connections. You may not scrape, republish, resell, distribute, use it for automated prospecting or unauthorized mass marketing, or use it for harassment, discrimination, identity misuse, or another unlawful or harmful purpose. Respect each participant’s visibility and field-sharing choices. Residential or personal home addresses remain private and must not be displayed in the Directory. Business addresses may be shared under the applicable organization or business-address visibility settings.
RBC may correct, moderate, hide, restrict, or remove profiles, organization entries, organization relationships, or submitted content when reasonably necessary for accuracy, privacy, safety, compliance, or operation of the service. A new organization entry may become visible immediately but remains subject to later staff moderation. A request to connect an account or profile with an existing organization is subject to RBC approval before the relationship becomes active. Creating an organization entry does not establish authority over that organization. Directory availability and particular fields are not guaranteed.
Event registration and participation
Event dates, locations, capacity, speakers, content, and availability may change. Registration is subject to available capacity and any event-specific information shown on the website. Registering another attendee means you have permission to provide their information and will direct them to the Privacy Policy when appropriate.
If you cannot attend, contact RBC so the registration can be updated when cancellation self-service is unavailable. RBC may refuse, cancel, or limit a registration when reasonably necessary for capacity, safety, inaccurate information, abuse prevention, or event administration.
Event participation is voluntary. You are responsible for your own decisions, property, transportation, health, safety, and conduct while attending an event, subject to applicable law and any duties RBC cannot legally exclude.
Communications and email choices
RBC may use email to operate accounts and requested services. Operational communications may include account verification, authentication, password recovery, security notices, event confirmations and reminders, event changes or cancellations, volunteer coordination, speaker invitations and scheduling, assignment information, and direct notice of material policy changes. Some automated application-email workflows are not active today and may be activated later after appropriate approval and testing.
When event registration offers a choice to receive that attendee’s confirmation and reminders, the choice applies to those event communications. Registration alone does not authorize promotional email. Volunteer or speaker communications relate to an expressed interest, invitation, response, or assignment and do not create consent to unrelated marketing.
Optional RBC Updates, newsletters, announcements, future-event information, and educational or community opportunities require the applicable affirmative opt-in or another lawful basis that specifically permits them. The RBC Updates preference is separate from event communications, Directory participation, volunteer or speaker participation, and speaker-promotion consent. If you turn the optional preference off, RBC may offer the choice again later, but it may not treat registration or continued use as promotional consent.
You may use an available profile control, a method stated in the message, or contact RBC to change optional email choices. Opting out of optional marketing does not prevent account, security, registration, assignment, policy-change, or other operational messages that RBC reasonably needs to provide a requested service or protect the account. RBC may use approved delivery providers, including Supabase for authentication messages and Brevo for application email when enabled. Delivery remains subject to provider availability, filtering, and the contact information supplied to RBC.
Volunteer and speaker participation
Indicating willingness, role interest, speaker interest, or availability does not guarantee or create an assignment. RBC may select, invite, confirm, change, or remove volunteer and speaker assignments based on event needs, suitability, availability, safety, accuracy, and administrative considerations.
If you accept or participate in an assignment, you agree to provide reasonably accurate information, respond to coordination requests when practical, and promptly tell RBC if you cannot participate or if public event information needs correction.
RBC may retain assignment, response, consent, moderation, and audit records as described in the Privacy Policy. Staff planning information, availability, and nonpublic responses are not promises that an event or assignment will proceed.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the services unlawfully, deceptively, or to harm another person;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation or authority;
- attempt to access accounts, records, administrative functions, or systems without permission;
- interfere with website operation, security, capacity controls, or other users;
- introduce malware, automated abuse, scraping, or excessive requests;
- submit content that is unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, infringing, or invasive of privacy;
- use attendee, Member, Directory, volunteer, speaker, or contact information for unauthorized solicitation or distribution; or
- disregard another participant’s visibility, sharing, correction, or withdrawal choices.
Information and content you submit
You retain ownership of information and content you submit. You give RBC permission to use, store, reproduce, and share it as reasonably necessary to operate the requested service, administer RBC activities, respond to you, maintain records, and comply with law, subject to the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the right to submit the information and content, including any photo, logo, biography, presentation material, organization information, or information about another person, and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
For an accepted speaking assignment, you give RBC permission to use the event-specific materials you affirmatively approve to administer and promote that event. This permission may include use of your approved name, role, organization, biography, photo, logo, website, social links, presentation title, and promotional description on an RBC event page and in related event promotion. RBC may retain an event-specific record of what was approved even if your reusable profile later changes.
Previously authorized speaker names, businesses, photos, biographies, and presentation materials may remain on historical event pages consistent with the consent obtained. You may ask RBC to correct information, stop future promotional use, or remove material from a historical event page. A request does not require RBC to recall material already distributed, alter private consent or audit records, or remove information RBC must reasonably retain. Private administrative notes must not be published.
Intellectual property
The RBC name, logo, website design, text, graphics, and other RBC materials are owned by RBC or used with permission and are protected by applicable law. You may view and use the website for personal or legitimate business-community purposes. You may not copy, modify, sell, publish, or exploit RBC materials without permission, except as allowed by law.
Third-party services and links
The services may use or link to third parties such as WordPress.com, Supabase, Google, Brevo, social networks, maps, calendars, or external event resources. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. RBC does not control and is not responsible for third-party availability, security, content, or practices.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the services, features, events, assignments, Directory access, or content. We try to provide accurate and useful information, but we do not guarantee that every item will always be complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and online services are provided “as is” and “as available.” RBC disclaims warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement.
Nothing on the website is legal, financial, tax, employment, medical, or other professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating information and obtaining professional advice when appropriate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RBC and its officers, volunteers, representatives, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, goodwill, or business interruption arising from the services or events.
RBC does not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
Suspension or termination
RBC may restrict or terminate access to an account, Directory, assignment, or service when reasonably necessary to address a violation of these Terms, protect users or systems, comply with law, or maintain RBC operations. Hiding a profile, closing an account, and deleting eligible information are different actions as described in the Privacy Policy. Designated RBC administrators verify account-closure and deletion requests, acknowledge them within seven days, and target resolution within 30 days, subject to legal requirements and legitimate retention needs. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in a court with appropriate jurisdiction in Minnesota, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as our services or practices change. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the effective date. For material changes, RBC will publish a website notice and send direct email notice to existing participants using the contact information reasonably available to RBC. RBC will require an in-account acknowledgment or another affirmative action when consent is required by the nature of the change or applicable law. Continued use alone is not treated as a substitute where affirmative consent is required. Policy notice or acknowledgment does not replace Directory visibility opt-in, per-field sharing choices, event-communication choices, the RBC Updates preference, or separate speaker-promotion consent.
